Bowman Redesign

Project Overview:

The project was centered around creating a flexible and functional layout for the second floor. The design aimed to incorporate spacious ballrooms for larger gatherings and collaborative activities, as well as more private office areas for focused work. Emphasis was placed on ensuring that the space encouraged collaboration while still offering areas for privacy and comfort. A modern design aesthetic was to be integrated with the existing building materials, maintaining a cohesive flow throughout the entire floor.

Demolition Plan

A demolition plan was created to clear out outdated features while retaining the structural integrity of the existing building. This included removing old partition walls, outdated finishes, and other non-functional elements to make way for the new design. The existing windows, structural supports, and key architectural features were preserved to maintain the building’s original character, ensuring the redesign blended seamlessly with the existing space.

Construction Plan

The construction plan focused on transforming the space into a functional layout that met the project’s objectives. New partition walls were constructed to create defined office spaces and reconfigure the ballrooms. The electrical and lighting systems were updated to enhance natural light, creating a brighter and more inviting environment. Special attention was given to the integration of new materials and finishes that complemented the existing ones, ensuring a cohesive design throughout the second floor.

Renderings

The renderings showcase the seamless blend of modern design with existing architecture. The exterior maintains material continuity, while interior views highlight the spacious ballrooms, bold graphics, and inviting reception area. They effectively capture the project’s functional and aesthetic transformation.

"Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works, transforms, and inspires."
